Your mail lives on your machine.

Not as a slogan. As the architecture. This page explains exactly what leaves your computer, what doesn’t, and what we keep.

Who we are. OleaDesk is a product of Olea Labs, based in Tunis, Tunisia. The legal entity, registered address and data controller details are to be confirmed. The company is being formed and we will not put a placeholder company name here and hope nobody checks. Until then, reach us at hello@oleadesk.com.

Your email stays on your computer

OleaDesk is a desktop application. When you connect an inbox, your messages are downloaded to a database on your own machine and stay there. We do not host your mailbox, we do not sync your mail to our servers, and we have no copy of it. If you uninstall the app, your mail goes with it.

Your mailbox password or app password is stored in your operating system’s own credential manager, the same place your other applications keep theirs. It never travels to us.

What the AI features do send

When you ask OleaDesk to draft a reply, summarise a thread, or write outreach, the specific text needed for that task is sent to our relay, which forwards it to the AI provider that produces the result. This is the one moment your content leaves your machine, and it only happens when you trigger a feature.

What we record about that request:

  • which account made it, and when
  • how many tokens it used and what it cost us
  • which feature it was: drafting, summarising, outreach, and so on

We do not store the content of the request or the response. The metering above is how we bill fairly and spot runaway costs; it is deliberately the minimum that achieves that, and it cannot reconstruct your email.

What we refuse to collect

  • No tracking pixels.OleaDesk does not put an invisible image in your outgoing mail, so we cannot tell you who “opened” a message, and we don’t report a number we can’t measure. Your recipients are not surveilled on your behalf.
  • No personal scraping. Buyer research uses what a company publishes about itself: its own website, its own contact page. We do not build profiles of individuals and we do not take data from social networks.
  • No selling of anything. We do not sell, rent or share your data, and we do not run advertising.

People your agents find

When an agent researches a market, it records the published business contact details of companies that may be buyers: the kind of address a company prints on its own website precisely so that trade enquiries reach it.

If you are a business who has been contacted through OleaDesk and want your details removed, write to hello@oleadesk.com and we will remove them and add you to a suppression list so you are not contacted again.

Diagnostics

If something goes wrong, you can save a diagnostic report from inside the app. It is written to your Desktopand nothing is sent automatically. You read it and decide whether to share it. Every email address in it is replaced with a placeholder before the file is written, so sending us a report never hands us your contacts’ addresses.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or the EU you have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, object to processing, and receive a copy in a portable form. Because your mail never reaches us, in practice the data we hold is your account details and the usage records described above.

Write to hello@oleadesk.com and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If we change what the product does with your data, we change this page and date it. We will not quietly widen what we collect.
