OleaDesk

Your AI, your mailbox

Connect the AI you already use to your OleaDesk mail.

Claude Desktop, or any AI that speaks MCP, can search your mail, read a message, list what arrived and save a draft for you to send. It runs on your own computer: nothing it reads passes through our servers. It cannot send. Included on every plan and on the free trial.

Not an OleaDesk customer? The mail app with this connection is $10 a month on its own.

Three steps

01

Be on 0.1.91 or later

OleaDesk updates itself. Settings, then Plan, shows the version you are on. If it says something older, quit OleaDesk from the tray icon and open it again; it fetches the update on the way in.

02

Open Settings, then Your AI

Switch on "Let my AI read this mailbox". Then press Connect Claude Desktop. OleaDesk writes one entry into Claude Desktop's settings for you and keeps a copy of the file beside it. Nothing else in that file is touched.

03

Quit and reopen Claude Desktop

Claude Desktop reads its settings when it starts. After it reopens, ask it something about your mail. The first answer takes a few seconds; the tab in OleaDesk then shows "Last request from Claude Desktop" with the time. That line is the proof it is connected.

Things worth asking it

Every answer comes from mail already on your disk, so it is as fast as the search box in OleaDesk. A draft it writes lands in OleaDesk’s Drafts, where you read it and press send yourself, or do not.

Another AI than Claude

Cursor, Windsurf and others read the same kind of entry. Settings, then Your AI, shows the exact snippet for your machine; it looks like this. Paste it into that program’s MCP settings and restart it.

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "oleadesk": {
      "command": "C:\\Users\\<you>\\AppData\\Local\\OleaDesk\\OleaDesk.exe",
      "args": ["--mcp-stdio"]
    }
  }
}

If it does not connect

The tab says the connection is not running

Quit OleaDesk from the tray icon and open it again. If it stays off, write to us: that is our fault, not yours.

Claude Desktop does not show OleaDesk

It reads its settings only when it starts. Quit it completely, including from the tray, and open it again. Then check the tab in OleaDesk shows “knows about OleaDesk”.

“Not confirmed for this account yet”

OleaDesk checks your plan when you sign in. Make sure you are signed in on the Profile tab and online, then press Check again. If your plan has ended, see your plan at oleadesk.com.

It answers about the last ten days only

That is the free trial. Any paid plan opens the whole mailbox and every mailbox you add.

Mac

Not yet. OleaDesk is Windows 10 and 11 today.

Stuck anywhere else? Write to us and say what the Your AI tab shows; every line on it is a fact we can act on.
