Sending small on purpose
Volume is how sending reputations die. This product is built for the opposite game, and this is what that buys you.
A trade buyer’s inbox is defended like everybody else’s. Mailbox providers now reject bulk senders that fail authentication or attract complaints, and the threshold is not generous. The tool that sends ten thousand emails a month on your behalf is also the tool that can make your own domain untrusted, and once that has happened your ordinary business mail suffers with it.
So OleaDesk plays a different game: a small number of researched, personalised, approved emails, from your own address, inside the buyer’s working day. If your plan is to send tens of thousands a month, we are the wrong instrument and we would rather say so here than take the money.
What the desk does for you
- Checks the address exists before a send is ever drafted, on a domain that actually accepts mail.
- Warms a new sender up. A new sending address starts slow and builds. The caps are not switches, deliberately.
- Sends inside the recipient’s working hours, weekdays, in their own country, spread through the day rather than fired off at nine sharp.
- Stops on a reply, and on a bounce. Both, immediately.
- Enforces your do-not-contact list absolutely. Nothing on it is mailed, ever, and a list that cannot be checked against it is not imported.
What we deliberately do not do
We do not track opens. There is no pixel in your emails, so we will never show you an open rate. Two reasons, and the second is the practical one: putting an invisible image in a stranger’s inbox to report on him is not something we want to do on your behalf, and tracking pixels are also one of the more reliable ways to land in a spam folder. What we count instead is replies, which is the only number that was ever worth anything.
The two things that stay in your hands
Your domain’s records. SPF, DKIM and DMARC are the three DNS entries that tell the receiving server your mail is really from you. Your host or your IT person can confirm all three in a few minutes, and it is worth asking before your first campaign rather than after. Those are the names to use when you ask.
The quality of your list. Never import a bought list. It is against our terms, and much more to the point it is the fastest way to destroy a reputation you spent years building. Every buyer this product finds comes from what a company publishes about itself, which is why it is slower and why it keeps working.
What good looks like
Fewer emails than you expected, going to companies you can see the reason for, arriving in a working day, stopping the moment somebody answers. Replies over weeks rather than hours, most of them from the follow ups. It reads as slow in week one and as compound interest in month six.
Next: Plans, billing and the founding offer
Still stuck? Write to hello@oleadesk.com and a person answers, usually the founder, within one business day. Say what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead. Inside the app, Settings has a Get help box that sends the same message with the diagnostics attached.
