Gulfood Manufacturing 2026: is it for you, and how to use it
Gulfood Manufacturing is not the same show as Gulfood. It is about making food: machinery, packaging and ingredients. Here is who it is for, and why a private label maker might still want to be there.
When and where
Gulfood Manufacturing 2026 runs from 3 to 5 November 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Read on gulfoodmanufacturing.com in October 2026. The organiser’s home page lists more than 2,500 exhibitors, more than 80 countries and more than 80,000 industry professionals, without saying which year those figures are from. Check the opening hours and visitor registration on the official site before you travel.
Not the same show as Gulfood
Gulfood is the big show for finished food and drink, held in March; in 2027 it runs from 15 to 19 March. Gulfood Manufacturing is about how food is made. The organiser lists processing machinery, packaging lines, ingredients such as flavours, colours, emulsifiers and sweeteners, automation and supply chain systems. If you sell finished products to importers and retailers, Gulfood in March is usually the show for you. Our Gulfood 2027 guide covers it.
Who it is for
Ingredient suppliers. If you sell ingredients to food manufacturers, the people buying them are the visitors this show is built for: the organiser names manufacturers, technology leaders, ingredient specialists and industry decision-makers.
Private label makers. The organiser lists Private Label Middle East as one of the shows running alongside it, with ISM Middle East (sweets and snacks) and GulfHost (foodservice and hospitality equipment). If you make products that a retailer could sell under its own name, that is the part of the week to plan around.
Producers investing in their own factory. If you are buying a line, a packaging machine or an inspection system, this is where the suppliers are.
Three weeks before
Pick the companies you want to meet, by name. For an ingredient or private label supplier, that means manufacturers and retailers who could buy from you, not other suppliers. Write one line on why each one fits.
Write to them now. One line on what you make, one on why it fits them, and a request for fifteen minutes at the show. Three weeks is short notice, so make the note easy to say yes to.
Have your technical documents ready. Specifications, certificates, capacity, minimum order and lead times, ready to send before anyone asks for a price.
Check your email arrives. A note in a spam folder looks exactly like a note that was ignored. Our guide on why buyer emails go to spam covers the three records to check.
During and after
Write on the back of every card that evening: what they asked, what you promised, and one detail that will remind them who you are. Keep the price for a written quote. Then send what you promised in the first few days and follow up over the next few weeks, each note with something new to say. Our trade show follow-up guide has the plan and three short notes you can adapt.
The short version
Gulfood Manufacturing 2026 is 3 to 5 November at the Dubai World Trade Centre. It is about making food, not selling finished products. Go if you supply ingredients, make private label products, or are buying equipment; otherwise, plan for Gulfood in March.
